Selective Renovation

Over the last several years, Shay Construction has completed extensive renovations to this historic 1905 stone Tudor home in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania. The living room was dramatically recreated with decorative plaster ceilings and mouldings finished with milk paint and gold leaf. In addition, an infrequently used playroom space was converted into a sophisticated entertainment room with custom cabinetry, coffered ceilings, and leather paneled wainscoting. The 8,000 square foot home was occupied throughout the renovations and the project required careful phasing, coordination, and sensitivity to the homeowners’ privacy.
